Sorry for making all these damn threads about different songs but I'm relatively proficent guitar player and I need a song that would help out my sweeping+alternate picking technique, the only really shred thing I can play mildly cleanly is eugenes trickbag that my guitar teacher had given me as a exercise(the swept two octave arpeggios at the start and the rapid alt picking 5th caprice part). So would black star be a good song to attempt to improve my chops? Thanks!

try alternate picking the beginning arps.

the big sweep picking song around here is serrana by jason becker
I'm not sure if playing "mildly cleanly" will cut it around here.

A lot of people are in love with serrana, though, that is true.
