Hello. I use a Fender Champion 300 DSP amplifier mainly on the overdrive channel and If I set the gain at high levels and try to turn the volume up, it starts to buzz and the noise is insufferable. I think this happens because my guitar has single coils. So I wondered what would happen if I used an external distortion pedal (for example a Boss MT-2). Would the buzz be so loud or would I solve the problem?

p.s. I haven't got this problem with the clean channel but I can increase the volume to the max and the buzz is very slight.

u can shield ur guitar. foil line the cavity. that will kill a lot of the hum.

and yes high gain = hum. shouldnt matter the source.

Jenny needs to sow her wild oats with random Gibsons and Taylors she picks up in bars before she settles down with a PRS.
