Death On The Sand

The sun beats down on his face,
"It's almost over" they claim.
And in front of him they stand,
It was death on the sand.

The sun beats down on his face,
In his eyes his whole life is retraced,
And over him they stand,
It was death on the sand.

The sun beats down on his face,
A lonely figure in a lonely place,
His face burns as he lies still on the land.
It was death on the sand.

A little short, but that's not a bad thing. I liked this. I noticed, though that in the first stanza, the rhyme scheme was different then the other two stanzas...

I enjoyed the repetition of "It was death on the sand." Also, everything seemed to flow quite well. Good job, man.
