Plus, I've played one. Pretty good guitar, not too bad put together. They sound good, but could sound better with a pickup change. They are a little over priced, but are solid guitars.

It's a pretty good guitar. I tried one and was really impressed by it. I would recommend that you check out the Epi LP Standard Plain Top as well. It's made of mahogany and a maple top instead of the alder/mahogany laminate and maple veneer that the regular standard is made of.

Other than the Plain Top being mahogany with a plain maple top, there are no differences.

Either way, both are good guitars.

I have one and it has great action.
Yea, the pickups are one thing that could be improved.
And one of the screws on my strap lock came out once.
Which was a construction flaw that got fixed for free.
Other than that it's a nice guitar.
I would recommend it.

I also have one. I paid 250 for it from a private seller. I adjusted the intonation and action and put 10 guage strings on it. It is one of the best playing guitars I own. The pickups are a bit week but I can stand it for now. Of all the guitars out there at the price of $379.00 this one rates in the top 3 fur sure.

The regular Standard is alder/mahogany. It's not just mahogany. It won't have a true LP sound, but they do still sound good.

I also agree that it's a GREAT playing guitar. The neck is awesome and the action on the ones I've tried has been perfect.
