i don't realy know how to explain this in english but i hope i can make myself clear:

i want to play guitar by using not only the tabs but also the notes, obviously for the timing, and i was wondering how i could practice this. i have a metronome, and i am not affraid to use it (to be honest i am a little...)

peace up

Teaching yourself isn't too hard. Slow moments but in general you can progress quite quickly

Can i reccomend you get either Guitar Pro or Powertab
as you can listen to the tabs, to help your timing you can play along to them then

I think you should buy a few begginer's guitar books, usually they will teach musical notation and all of the things you're looking to learn.

A teacher isn't necessary, but probably a good Idea.

Good Luck.

teaching yourself is fun, because when you get bored of playing guitar you can just masturbate, and then keep playing more.

it would be awkward with a teacher... unless its a really hot chick

if you want to learn every note in the fretboard, according to that I've understood, you can take a look here: http://guitarsecrets.com/all_notes.htm
that helped me a lot, it's easy after you understand the basic mechanisms
you can also have practice with Fretboard:
http://www.francoisbrisson.com/fretboardwarrior/download.html
If you want to learn music theory you can read this lesson: http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/lessons/for_beginners/learning_music_theory_the_beginning.html
hope i've been useful

get a teacher to help with your technique but dont rely on them to teach you songs. Try and learn songs yourself
