Alright i read the article/column about simple triads but instead of strumming them im writing a song with finger picking major triads....my question is that for the chorus i want like the power chord kinda palm muting blink thing but it doesnt work with triads. what are complementary notes for triads?

i mean when i dont fingerpick i dont know WHAT to strum, i usually use power chords but i seems akward with triads

Strum the strings on which you are fretting notes and playing open strings.

You know how you press down on a string? Strum that string and any others on which you are pressing your fingers.
