I wrote this and I would like some crits on it. also if you you can think of a serious title for it, I would appreciate the help.

verse:

I met the devil yesterday
it was me and him, face to face
he was looking for souls to take back to his place

he said "I can take you anywhere,
I can make you anyone,
but you gotta give me your priceless soul"
I said

Chorus:

"Devil, I think I've met you before
you gave me the life I used to live, and God threw it out the door
you introduced me to rock and roll
you proved to me my priceless soul is Gods and Gods alone
you've made me hate everything
you've made me bleed and God made me believe
it was you who made my life a living hell
But God's the one who has the wheel and makes my ship set sail"

verse:

the devil stared, mouth opened wide
clearly, he was suprised
I could only stare him in the eyes, he said

"How could you say all of that
you can't prove that its a fact
God is using you to get to me"
i said

chorus:

"Devil, you aint welcome in my heart
you took the human left in me and you tore it all apart
you brought me to a darker state of mind
but when I found God, he was the one, who showed me the light
it was you who gave me all my strife
you brought me close to death, but God gave me life
tell me what have you done for me
I can proudly stand and say Jesus died for sinners like me"

verse:

The devil just looked at me
"alright, kid, I'll leave you be"
he turned around and walked out of my life

I know that he'll be back again
back with his deceitful tricks
i know I'll be ready for anything he sends my way

(finger pick the chords)

I met the devil yesterday
it was me and him, face to face
he was looking for souls to take back to his place

holy crap it reminded me of tenacious D too.. man, at the end where it says 'fingerpick chords' you should start fingerpicking the intro to stairway to heaven....yea..

even though it would be a total ripoff of tenacious D.

same here haha.

It's got a few kinks in parameter, but it could just be the way I read it.

Some parts are very creative in writing, other parts become a dissapointment because the creativeness isn't very consistent.

Overall pretty good work. You should title it "The Day I met the Devil" like that other person said.

I liked it and I don't even enjoy most God oriented songs. I picutred it going to a tune like "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" haha. But I think a title could come along the lines of "Conversations of Conversion" or maybe even "Devil Didn't Know my Changes".
