Except Panopticon..... ¬_¬

Oceanic was my first, but Panopticon edges it out by a small fraction.

I dunno...If the Oceanic remixes also count towards Oceanic, then it may be better than Panopticon for me.

Correction.

There are A LOT of bands like ISIS, it's just a matter of the band being as good, and as innovative as ISIS.

I didn't mean that genre-wise.

In the Fishtank was a collaboration with a post-rock band, Aereogramme. It was out in '06 and it's an amazing EP. You gotta get it if you don't have it yet.

And Wavering Radiant, their new album is coming out in May.

yeah, I've seen the Fishtank around for a while, never got around to getting it though. But I have something to look forward to in may

Yep one my favourite bands, they are beyond talented and very original. One of the best things that ever happened to modern metal.

The point of underground bands is their not popular or famous most of the time. Thus there is a good chance they suck.

It leaked?

o_O

Not going to download it (yet).

I know the album's dropping in just over a month, but still. I think it's a bit too early to download.

ALSO, is it just me, or is the album art for "Radiants" a bit.... lacking? It looks great. Don't get me wrong. But it just doesn't look like Turner designed it this time.

Look at most of his past work. All of the ISIS albums, "Australasia" by Pelican, "Antenna" by Cave In, "Hesperus" by 5ive, etc. It looks like something Turner might like, but not something he would design.

Thoughts?

The artwork kind of reminds me of the work on Pelican's last album. I dunno, it's probably just me.
#178
This is so confusing.

Lol why? He's done a lot of artwork for many different bands. He is an artist as well.

And your bands of the moment is spot f**king on man. Electric Wizard FTW!!

The latest album is worth waiting for, as Ive just heard.
#179
Yes, I know he's done a lot. But the two are really similar, and the new ISIS album just doesn't seem like Turner material.

It's just weird.

I NEVER KNEW ISIS COVERED "STREETCLEANER"!

I'm FULLY appreciating "Celestial" for the first time right now. O_O

I've had the album for a good long time, and have always thought it was good, but never enjoyed it as much as their other releases.

Man, what I was missing. "Swarm Reigns (Down)" is just.........

Me -> <- ISIS

It's simply magical.

If you're looking for a good mix of their soft and hard side, I would go with "The Beginning and the End" or "Wills Dissolve."

Holy crap.

Isis covered Sabbath?

This is ground-breaking. Granted, they could've chosen a better song (in my opinion), but still, this is great.

I know, right?

I found out the same time I found out they covered Godflesh (seeing as both songs are on the same EP).

A bit off topic, but I wonder when Turner's going to start working on the next Old Man Gloom release?
