Howdy. This is a Country song. All comments are appreciated.

I saw a wise man break one day, his tears began to run.
A giant of a man he was, talking with his son.

Son he said, don?t fill your head, with the People?s view.
Their talk is strong, their words are wrong. It?s always something new.

Remember Dad, when you were sad ?cause Brother went to war?
He went to sleep in dirt real deep. I still don?t know what for.

The man felt a cold shiver and his hand began to quiver as he laid down the evening post.
Then his jaw started quaking and his heart started breaking from the memory that he hated most.

The man explained as he felt the pain, reliving days gone by.
His oldest gone, yet he lives on, that man began to cry.

Don?t worry, Dad. Please don?t be sad. I?ll make you proud as Brother.
I promise you when I serve too, we?ll get along with others.

The boy was fed and put to bed. The wise man prayed and wept.
Please God not both, for my son?s oath, is one which can?t be kept.

The man felt a cold shiver and his hand began to quiver as he leaned on the boy?s bed post.
Then his jaw started quaking and his legs started shaking from the nightmare that he fears the most

Thanks for the comments.

The genre is country, but I kinda like it as a song in the style of Neil Young, too.

That reminds me of a Johnny Cash styled song then your standard country song. Then again, Johnny Cash is the only country singer I listened to, if his music can even be called country.

Crit for crit?

It's very nice. You don't really hear stuff like that anymore. At least i don't anyway.
