Hi, Im looking for a new bass amp for home practice..and im really looking into the behringer stuff which seem to have a lot of features at an extremely cheap price. I'm on a really tight budget cuz i use my own money. .. i haf a dodgy 15w amp which i really want to stop using.

budget's around 200-300 AUD or around $150-200 US

so..by lookin around i really like the Behringer ULTRABASS BX300 (30 W) and Ultrabass BXL450A (45 W)...

Behringer low end aint too good. Their higher end gear ($600AUD+) is far more reliable. within your price range I'd check out brands like Fender Bass purely for reliability. Behringer low-end gear has a decent sound, but isn't as reliable.

I was originally thinking of getting a behringer, but I tried one, and I didn't like it as much as the laney I tried, which didn't actually cost that much more.

So yeah,. I would have a think about a Laney, because it's still a budget model, but it was nicer.

I don't think Behringers are as bad as people say they are though.

When they are good they are good, but, and it is a big but, when they are bad they are very bad and take a lifetime to repair.
What was once an upmarket German company is now a badged up chinese produced product of questionable quality.

I wouldn't buy from Behringer, if not for their horrible Chinese products but for their questionable business tactics.

I'm not familiar.. can you explain in a little more detail?

being a behringer BX1200 owner and lover, i'd say go for it, they're very good value; altough, take what Weybl sad into consideration.
