Im buying a fender american strat RW. Is this a good buy? It will cost me 1,330 USD in 3 tone suburst. I play all kinds of rock + grunge, blues and a little metal. If necessary, i'll be adding a humbucker for versatility.

Think i'll be pleased? If i resell it, i'll be able to get between 1,300 and 1,100 dollars. I live in an expensive country, and retail for a strat like that is 2,000 dollars

Good or not?

What's RW?

Anyway, I don't really think it's what you're looking for, but it's still a great guitar.

Have you considered a Gibson LP Studio?

if your playin any ****ty pop music then go with fender. if not go with ibanez

what the heck is with all the ibanez plugs....there not that great. all the guy said he plays is a "little" metal...he also said he plays blues...ibanez = sucks for blues.

fender = can do it all.

My focus is really on hard rock and blues. Im very into gary moore (Blues-rock fusion), but i love classic rock. So while my epiphone would still function as my main guitar, fender would be a nice addition

Why even say that? You know it's wrong.

Threadstarter, play the Strat and compare it to a few other guitars, if you like it, buy it!

**** that, hes right as hell. My strat is so mettle its not even funny.

If it works for Cryptopsy and Nile, it works for me.

The only Ibanez I'd buy is the AX120 or AXS42.

Omar Rodriguez

I have an aversion to Strat-like bodies.

Sounds like a nice strat (if those exist lol, I hate strats lol). Anyway, play it, and if you like it (because there are those like me that hate them) buy it. If it's that discounted, and works, it's a great deal for a high quality instrument.

Shut up. Everyone. You can play blues on a plywood BC Rich, amplified through a MG10, it's in your fingers, not the freakin guitar.
