Okay get this folks. I got a job, Cafe work in a park.

I'm getting £4 an hour and I usually work for 5 hours Saturday and Sunday earning me £20 a day, however I break from school for the last time ever on the 19th so I'm thinking of going full time. Seven days a week five hours at a time, plus my other money I usually get = £175 weekly.

Which coincidentally is £1400 for 2 months (well for 8 weeks), seeming as I have an 8 week break between School and College, I decided I'm going go on a gear spree.

I've already decided on getting a Laney VH100R head and some variety of 2x12 (maybe a 4x12 and getting a 2x12 for practicing.) and that would take around £800 or so of that, bringing me down to £600, which is still a nice sum of cash, and I could still supplement it in the 4 or so days a week I could still be working. Now thats the mathematics shtick over.

My question to you Ewwgeenurinos is, what can I spend my money on!?

FYI: My plan for a pedal board kinda requires two delays, a whammy pedal, a volume pedal, a Big muff, a trem pedal, a chorus, a noise gate, flanger, phaser, and some kind of EQ.

I have my eye on the marshall echohead soely for its 'fade out' options. Basically when you step off the pedal, it takes a few moments for the effect to die out, if only someone made a distortion that did this!

[EDIT:] Im looking at EHX and MXR stuff too, especially the holy/holiest grail stuff, the VH100R has six effectsloops.

You need a decent wah pedal too...everyone needs a decent wah.
And what about overdrive/boost?
#3
I have a MT2 for a boost, I'm gonna get it keelyfied.

To be honest I've never really used Wah effects, except an autowah I once played around with making porn music :P

Also in september, my money's going to 'drop' to about 95-115. Not that I'm complaining. Basically cause I'm going college part time doing BTEC Music.

^ because it's not a spam thread lol. Anyway, if your got 600 pounds left, you might want to just buy all the pedals you want (what are they, $50 each for decent ones??). Or you could save the entire 600 pounds, let it collect intrest, and buy in a year (assuming you work all year and make a decent amount of money) you could buy all the pedals AND a new kick ass guitar!!

The Line 6 Echo Park has a switch so that you can turn "trails"- the echoes after the pedal is turned off- on or off. It also has a ton of different delay sounds, as well as the old standby delay, a switch that determines whether your delay sound 'digital' (my favorite- crystal clear), "Analog" or "Tape", as well as modulation effects for each delay sound.

As for wahs, get the Weeping Demon for a more 'metal' sounding wah (very dark, scooped) and a Vox or Buddah for a more classic sound.

Hi Ped. Nice with the Laney. For pedals i say:
Chorus: Heard great things about Ross Chorus, but i think a Small Clone would be nice. also check the Visual Sound H2O, wich also has an inbuilt Delay. Im probably getting one of those.

Hmm both the line 6 spider 2 amp, and the echo park have a 'sweep echo' - does anyone have an idea what this is based on because it sounds fantastic.

If I got the echo park, I'd have to get two, one just for the swept sound and another for a dotted 8th sound. I need so many different delay pedals... I might get one of those big blue line six ones with 4 presets. I'm also going stereo for my delays

On topic: I heard about reliabilty issues with the Line 6 DL4? Any details?

Its gonna be swirly soundscaping for me

I'm gonna use the big muff basically as a whacked out boost, cause of its natural mids and sustiain. My solo tone relys on high mids, and cuts thru like a knife into a chavs throat.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.

Yeah, its a very nice amp but the shared EQ kinda knocked me off...

I play everything basically. Seven days a week for 8 weeks = £1400!

i have a Boss DD6 and the delay trails out as well, so i'd assume that the DD3 would as well. if your looking for a whammy pedal to do octaves, 5ths and m2->M3rds, look at the EX7. i bought it and its fantastic. also has a volume function. the downside is that you can toggle through then unless you get the footswitch. the univibe is great. i dunno i just love what it does for the price. and the XP300 funtions are awesome. i think i'll post some clips when i get the chance, (later tonite?)

yeah, the laney vh is a good amp, then.

are you sure about needing all those pedals? just if you do without them, you could afford a powerball with a marshall/laney cab...

EDIT: it's up to you, of course- the powerball is more of a metal amp that'll do other tones, while the vh is more of an allround amp that'll do metal... it really depends what you want- neither are really "better"...

The "sweep echo" runs all the echoes through a sweep filter, which is basicly what it would sound like if you slowly opened and closed a wah pedal. I dunno what its based on, but Line 6 probably thought it up because they think up everything. The Echo Parks also all have stereo in and out jacks.

I'm sure I need all the pedals.

Anyone fond of the MXR Phase 90? I need to know the advantages of the Phase 100.

Also I'm trying to go as tru-bypass or close to as possible, even if it means modding pedals. And it looks like I'm getting 2 Echo Parks and a Verbzilla to handle my abience. The swell feature on the echo park is orgasmic, and I may add an expression pedal to my pedals that can handle it.

How does the DD-6 compare to the Echo Park?

Chorus small clones are the best in my opinion. For that much money you may be able to find a original V846 Wah. Which are by far the best in my opinion. Delays theres not too much to them. Never heard a bad one.

edit: For volume you can take any way and mod it to a volume. It's quite simple.

ok, if you do, ped, then the laney vh is probably the best amp you can get your hands on for that range of tones (for the price). I'm just not really a pedal guy- but that's just me. The stuff I play just doesn't really need all that many pedals. You're probably different (and right, lol).

The tt would be worth a look too, but doesn't have just the range of tones. I liked it better, but that's because it suited my style of music better (hard rock/shred rather than modern metal). If you want the versatility (and from what you say, you do), then the VH is probably what you want...

I was thinking the ZW wah?

I've found it really nasaly. Get the same sounds stepping on a cat. V846 is just amazing. Used by Hendrix, Page, and many others. i'd use it but i cant afford it. I bought a v847 and modded it to 846 specs. Still doesn't sound as good oh.
