One I did today, pretty quickly really.

Beetle Jar

Teeth to bite the fleshy casing,
And room to wrap your sword around,
Just watch out for the recoil,
Boomerangs without a sound,
Why don?t you wait back there,
While you still can,
The water slowly permeates,
Drooling through black sands.

Don?t you try to cut my pincers,
Lest you want to find yourself?

Rip through shards of my demeanour,
Then wave the battleaxe around,
I?ll come back with words a-blazing,
And tear your resolution down,
Hold on tight, to your arms,
They will serve you well,
The power in them resonates,
As your ego starts to swell.

So don?t you try to cut my pincers,
Lest you want to find yourself,
Coiling your soul round the bottom,
Of my beetle jar.

The universe around us,
Bends through cosmic tunnels,
Channel all your energy into this wish,
Under observation,
Sixteen eyes surround us,
Each one magnified by the petri dish.

So don?t you try to cut my pincers,
Lest you want to find yourself,
Coiling your soul round the bottom,
Swimming in your putrid swamp,
Wall to wall this glass enclosure,
Tearing my perception down,
Use your teeth the pierce the lid,
Of my beetle jar.
