^A lot of people I know hate them too...but back on topic. You will barely be able to tell the difference of pups in that amp. You need a new amp unless you really like it. Look into a Roland Cube (whatever wattage) or Vox AD(insert wattage here)VT.

If you definatly want new pups, look into something else. The Invader tends to get very muddy. I don't know much about punk sounding pickups, but you should look into a more bassy and/or midsy due to the bright nature of strat bodies.
Hope that helps.

WAH that didnt help, what about a dimarzio super 3? (+ i think that can be used for neck and bridge)

or two evolution 2's?

^How did that not help, I told what kind of EQing you should look into for the pickups

Anyway, the Super 3 is great in alder bodies. Neck depends if you want a clean tone or nice lead sound. I don't recommend the Super 3 in neck though. For cleans, look into the Seymour Duncan 59 or Jazz. For leads check out the PAF Joe or PAF Pro both from Dimarzio.

you're confuzzling me i just wan something for a lead guitarst in a punk rock band like mcr

i will get the super 3 tho
#14
for punk?

evos arent the way to go. they just dont sound right.

i suggest maybe a tone zone or super distortion. the super 3 might work too.

but like tilldeath said, you wont notice much of a difference in sound. a new amp would be a good way to go first, then think of swapping the pickups

edit: evos dont really sound right with punk anyway

i alrddy got recommened by my teacher (playing for 43 years!!!) to replace the pickups if i want punkrock

Meh, most people get it, but whatever.
The thing is I don't like any of those bands so I never really paid attention to their sound. But what you need to answer here is what YOU want.

Do you want to use your neck pickup for cleans or solos?
The suggestions for both are in my above post.

EDIT: If you can it would be better to try the pickups. The Tone Zone seems good for you, but I never tried it so I can't comment.
