Hi.

I've been looking for a good amp and haven't found any Vox yet; last weekend I found this Line 6 one at a local store,. What do you people think of it. I'm looking for a new sound, actually, a "The Edge-Clapton" sound. Could i get it using this amp? If i could get a Vox AC30 the thing would be solved, but haven`t found one yet at local stores.

So you have the money and desire to buy an AC30 and you are considering a Spider II?

The two amps are almost at opposite ends of the spectrum on the "Tone Good-ness" scale

^I'd let a pro look at it. Once you get into the technicalities of screws...well, it's just a place you don't want to be, friend.

Yea he's right the Spider is horribly digital and the Ac30 is a beautiful tone giving amp. Try going to a store and telling them to order it for you, they usually will.

Have you tried either amp? If you had, there would be no way you would even begin to consider the Line 6 over a Vox.
There once was a man who really loved salt
So he tied his nose to the sea
And then God came down from his silver throne
And said, 'Honey, that water ain't free

^Agreed. The Vox's are pretty good for the price. The effects suck ass, but the amp sounds pretty good.

Are you confusing the Vox AC30 with the AD30VT? The AC30 is like 10 times as expensive as the Spider.

AD30VT is the one we're referring to. And it will indeed wash the Spider down the water spout.
