Does anyone know the most common (or stock) height a string should be from the bottom of the string to fret at the 12th fret?

I forgot what it was. :/

Was it like 1/32 of an inch or something? Help please.

TIA.

Generally, the 'textbook' setup is a gap of 2 mm on the low E, and 1.5 mm on the high E. It can vary a bit from guitar to guitar. I think Ibanez suggest 1.3 mm on the high E, for example.

Not sure what those measurements are in imperial system.

That's how I have all my guitars except my Lado setup. And with the neck correctly set, the action is excellent and no fret buzz.

On my Lado, my action is set to 1.5 mm on the low E, and 1 mm on the high E with no buzzing anywhere. It's the most amazing guitar ever...
