recently my tsl100 has been giving me a problem i've not experienced before....

on the crunch and lead channels, when i push the gain past 5 or 6 there is this terrible electronic buzzing sound, similar to the sound you get when you've got a cable plugged into an amp and you touch the other end with your hand. this is new and hasn't happened before, and the amp is only like 2 months old. i've plugged a different guitar in and still the same result, yet when i unplug the cable from the amp it stops altogether. i'v tried it with several differnent new cables and it still happens. and i plugged my dsl in the same cab, and it didnt do it, so i know it's cant be the guitar, the cable, or the cab.

i almost think it could be preamp tube related, or perhaps a faulty connection on the input jack maybe.

i first noticed this now in my new apartment, it didnt do it in my old one.

how can i be sure that my power outlet is grounded?

help me out please

Try a different plug in your house...

Tube might be microphic or have some wierd issue. Check the grounds.

well the thing is a real tone sucker, and doesn't work that well compared to other noise suppressors.

but then again that's not the point of this thread.
