I'm getting an Agile AL-2000 guitar and most likely an Epiphone Valve Junior? Is the Valve Junior good? And what cabinet would go well with it for under $150? thanks.

Yes, I think that guitar and that amp are good choices, mind you the amp only has a clean channel. You would have to get an Overdrive pedal (most likely) for the tones you're looking for.

It's a volume knob, the more you crank it, the more distortion you get.

A few pedals might be good for your style of music might be nice though.

It is a practice amp!
5 watts isn't much. If you're too much of a pussy to crank it, go buy a Fender Frontman

And I think the amp will be decent for alt+indie, at least on the cleans. The dirt is supposed to be really saturated and classic sounding.

Yes.

So dont be rolling your eyes to people. You can get an attuneuator(sp?) too. Even though it costs 3 times more then the amp.
