the amp i wanna but is a behringer v-ampire lx112. so basically what i have now is a 15watt practice amp. not loud enough to play with a drummer, but good enough to jam around with. the amp has 120watts of pure rock power and i found it at guitar center for $200. i played with it and loved it. so leave comments/pros/cons that you have about this amp. here's a review that UG did on it. http://ultimate-guitar.com/reviews/guitar_amplifiers/behringer/lx1-112_v-ampire/index.html

think if you really need that power. 120 watts is much. If you are playing at home look for about 50-75 and with good tone.
#4
Behringer's are usually good but this one is awful, Just to let you know. I'd suggest a Vox valvetronic AD60Vt, they rule, alos any Orange amp (if your budget can stretch to that)
#5
well im going to use it at gigs with a drummer. so i actually do need the power

Look at the Behringer V-Tone GMX series. My friend has one and its not too bad. Its no tube sounding amp or anything, but it decent and its only $200. But yea, I would also look into the Roland Cube 60 and the Vox Valvetronix AD50. You may think that 60watts (Roland) or the 50watts (Vox) are no 120watts (Behringer), but you definatley dont need 120watts. 50-60watts is plenty!

well i dont wanna really buy another roland. mebbe a crate.

You dont need 120watts for gigging at all! I do gigs and I only need to put my 60watt amp to less than 50% volume.
oh i beleive i need all the power. all the power i can get.

and why is that?

seriously dude, i've played hundreds of amps. and nothing does better in the price range of "cheap" than a roland cube (for metal/hard rock.)

peavey classic for $200?

that's not gonna happen.
