This band have been my favourite for a while now. A bit like Dillinger Escape plan but with and actually tune on the go! Anyway, just wondering what everyone else thinks of Sikth and if anyone has their new album (its not been released here in UK yet unfortunately!). I was listening to one of the new tracks on their myspace and I thought it was AMAZING (Bland Street Bloom!!)

Anyway, if you like guitar, you owe this site a visit;

Yes, they are Metal. Good band IMO. I'm enjoying Death on a Dead Day which has NO elements of Hardcore.

Hardcore Forum.

hardcore...wtf are you talking about
Sikth are good old prog/math metal! therefore it is a type of metal which means it is in the right forum
And they are fu*king mint! i saw them live at B'ham Barfly and have a few tracks off the new album. Never ceases to amaze me. Pin and Dan are 2 of the best guitarists ever

Yup, you nailed it! I call them Prog Metal, but Math Metal could go for them also.

I saw 'em at Download. Good stuff. I can see why people call them Metalcore, but I think they're more on the Metal influenced by Hardcore than Vice-Versa.

Either way they own. Up to the mods whether this stays.
