I have a lot of buzz on the third fret of a guitar i am customizing and wondering how to fix it. Should i loosen the truss rod a little or what. Could it be the nut?(i replaced the old one)

your string could be kinked on the fret because you pushed to hard or something(e.x. Your guitar fell off its stand and a string hit a penny on the ground)

no, they're new strings, no kinks

Check the neck relief before doing any adjustments to your truss rod. And are you playing thru an amps or just acoutically? Are the actions too low?
