hi im lookin into gettin a new amp. i play mostly metal, classic and modern rock(alter bridge and creed!!) i definatly dont need any more than 50w and that s really pushin it. im jsut getting really sick of this peavey backstage 10w (piece of ****)
ive been lookin at these ones but im open to any different ones. the absolute most ill go is around 850$. and thats only if its undeniably the most for that amount of money.
ill also be playing either my modded les paul knockoff(gibson pickups) or eventually a PRS Tremonti signiture(maybe not decided on whether to buy it or not. either way thats not until around christmas).

Peavey ValveKing 112 Combo Amp:

any other suggestions and info would be appreciated. thanx.

EDIT: realized the title made it seem like i was lookin to buy one off someone here.

first off, get a tube combo. 50 watts tube is decent and there is a volume control.

For high gain, look into Mesa/Boogie, Peavey, Marshall (boosted) etc.

Go to your nearest Guitar centre to try the out.

Hold the phone. I think that a Traynor YCV50 is the best option for you. Maybe add an OD pedal for metal and compressed lead tones, and you have a super versatile amp, with some absolutely stellar tones. Trust me, I have one and I love it. Deffinately the most versatile amp in the price range (for all-tube), and it sounds amazing. Alter Bridge are one of my favorite bands, and using my OD pedal, I can nail the tones to songs like Burn it Down, Down to my Last, Broken Wings, and Find the Real. I can get a pretty decent tone for What If by Creed too, just to demonstrate the amount of gain the amp can get when being boosted with an OD pedal (I use a Boss Super Overdrive). Here's a link:
