can someone explain to me the diferences between the marshall jcm800, jcm900, jcm600, and the jcm200 dsl and tsl. what are the tonal differences, and which is all around the highest quality amp?

The JCM 800 by far pwns all the amps. second the Jcm 900, i have never played a 600 and the 2000 sound the most modern

never played a 600 but you can't really go wrong with an 800/900 (with el34's)...the 2000 is also a very good amp...with the dsl being the better of the two types from what everyone says.

I've tried some from each of the series and concluded that the 800 has the best crunch, and the 2000 and 900's and 600s are most versatile. The 600 pwns them in the clean department and isnt' too far off the 800 in crunch, except it doesn't need to peel the paint to sound good... that's why I bought one.

That's a lot of booze. Frankly, I'm impressed. You're of a stronger timber than the average man, jimbob! Hail you.
