its a nice guitar but thats a fair amount of money for what it is... im sure there are some cheaper ibanez models that are just as good?

^It's a prestige, don't forget it. Way better quality than other stuff.

Those V series pickups are dimarzio made. And yes, they are very clear.... You will need a upgrade afterwards if its a must, but you;l prolly like them. THey are more shred/rock oriented....
