Mute the strings with your strumming hand reduces the sound of you hand.
When you catch some guy mastubating to you from a pair of binoculars call me and tell me you can see me and i will go where you cant see me and don't worry it's a compliment.

Michael Jackson's just a crazy guy.

ya your probably not lifting ur fingers up after you play the chords enough, or maybe the opposite your pulling off on the strings to much

I think he means that when he does powerchords going up and down the fretboard on the same string. When you slide your fingers up and down the string, the coils and your fingertips rub together, creating a scratching sound.

My advice:
-Try lifting your fingers up a bit more.
-Mute the strings with your picking hand.
-Use some string lube one the strings.
-Do all of the above.

Stumming up and down perhaps?

Strumming down is easier than up?

Up makes a stratchy noise?

Yeah i like to have a bit of sliding in, it just makes the song sound more realistic..
