This was posted yesterday on their website.

Our main focus for these past 10 months was to make the best record we
possibly could?for us and you. With this in mind there was always a
part we felt we could play better, or a part we felt could be
improved. This tedious process explains why it has taken so long. We
have all lost our minds on numerous occasions, and to be honest?still
haven't found them.

We will finally be entering the mixing process on Monday June 12.
Rich Costey has signed on to man the faders and we all couldn't be happier!
The record should be out?you know?sometime this year?..
There will be 13, 14, 15, or 16 songs being mixed
And 12, 13, 14, 15, or 16 of those songs will make it on the record.

We are blown away by the response the tour has received and hopefully
will be testing out a few new songs on the road.

We, again, are sorry we have not kept you guys in the loop. We
feel now that we are truly happy with our record, and we will notify
you of any SIGNIFICANT news in the future.

We can't say it enough:
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

But there's still no release date, or even anything vaguely resembling a release date! Argh!

basically doubt that 16 songs will make it, but I hope to see all of them eventually. Hopefully see it in late August/early September. New stuff from the shows is sounding great so far. Seeing them again on the 22nd!

Of course all of them won't make it onto the album, they'll most likely save a couple for b-sides as they're obviously going to get even more attention on MTV2 and the likes this time around.

Brand "News" lolololol.

Didn't they release basically the same statement ages ago?

Seems like we keep hearing the same things.

I cannot wait though.

^Warning to you.

I checked out the demos a long time ago and they were pretty stellar. The lying like lions song was damn good and also the one that sounded kind of egyptian like but not really.

It's been a while :/

Well that letter basically has sealed it that it's going to suck. Well it will either suck to the masses or be awesome to the masses. I'm sure it will be awesome to the masses but I will hate it. The demos bored me, but I might be over Brand New. I'm definitely over the emo thing. Eek.

a 16 song CD would be so kickass...
And if ever You come near, I will hold up high a mirror.
Lord, I could never show you anything as beautiful as You.

I loved the demos personally, but I think I'm in the minority there?

You still not heard them?

Some demos really sucked though, I think it was untitled #2?

UK Street Teamers,

It's been a while but we come with good news! BN will be returning to England
for one show at London Brixton Academy on Saturday 9th September with special
guests Say Anything. It looks very likely that this will be the only
UK/European show from Brand New in 2006...the guys want to do a proper tour and
it just does not look possible for this year (due to USA tour plans this
Autumn). They wanted to get at least one trip over before the album drops,
which is looking like late September/early October. If you want to see BN in
2006 then this is your safest bet.

A limited number of tickets will be presold this Friday the 16th via this link:
http://www.gigsandtours.com/?link=brand+new&site=brandnew. We're only sending
this link out in an email and putting it in the street team section, so we're
hoping that this gives you a lead on tix. Feel free to be angry with any
message boards that post it..we're trying to give you the leg up.

Regular tickets will be on sale this Saturday the 17th through your normal
ticket joints. All tickets are 12.50 (that's pounds and pence but our computer
doesn't make those signs). A word of caution: the USA shows sold out fast.

Our flights are booked and we hope to see you there! And please stop laughing
at our American football team which has already been beaten by the Czechs in the
World Cup. We're really good at basketball and stuff. And baseball. And our
football with the quarterbacks and stuff.

More news is coming as we ramp back up...!

nice job it's not like they wanted it to reamain secret anyways, or else they would not have posted the link in the fashion. Just creating a Buzz is all they're doing, a small blip on the redar before the shows starting on the 20th.

Trying living in the eastern-most outlier of Canada.

At least you fuckers get Muse and a lot of the UK based bands.

We don't even get like, Nickelback
