Don't let the title fool you

This is not a poetry piece. The song is called poetry. Crit 4 crit as always!

Poetry

Verse 1:
You were always sad,
No matter how hard you tried.
There was a wild tempest,
Coming from inside.
It came and drew pain upon your very heart.
Through a big blood stain, you painted art!

Chorus:
Well can't you see,
I'm writing poetry
For thee.
I too suffered pain,
Worried blood in my vein.
But I've been able to sustain...
The agony that consumes you now...
Slowly... Writing poetry!

Verse 2:
Like a spirit of hope,
Withdrawing from the tide.
Destroying all your raging
Thoughts of suicide.
But that spirit will never see the rays of light.
You'll continue to live in blood, pain and fright!

Chorus:
Well can't you see,
I'm writing poetry
For thee.
I too suffered pain,
Worried blood in my vein.
But I've been able to sustain...
The agony that consumes you now...
Slowly... Writing poetry!

Verse 3:
You mumble the very words
That will curse your soul.
And so inside of you,
Grows a large hole.
Then you stumble upon Saint Peter, The Great.
And he says ''Thou art possesed by a cursed faith.''

Chorus:
Well can't you see,
I'm writing poetry
For thee.
I too suffered pain,
Worried blood in my vein.
But I've been able to sustain...
The agony that consumes you now...
Slowly... Writing poetry!

Verse 4:
You are bound to the
Depths and fires of Hell.
Where giants, demons
And murderers dwell.
And Heaven is sought after so;
But you'll have the curse, wherever you go!

Bridge:
The stairway to Heaven is incredibly long
Where twists and turns; out of nowhere come from.
But If you ever make it to the top;
You can rest, sit down and just stop.
And if that may so be,
Then you are true to the story;
About a man to blind to see
That his life had been one page of poetry.

Chorus:
Well can't you see,
I'm writing poetry
For thee.
I too suffered pain,
Worried blood in my vein.
But I've been able to sustain...
The agony that consumes you now...
Slowly... Writing poetry!

I like it, despite me not liking long songs that much (well reading them), it grabbed me from the start. i don't like the line in the chorus "For thee." Doesn't quite fit. I can see you must care for this person, and can relate to them. "The stairway to Heaven is incredibly long" - Just ask Led Zeppelin! lol, keep it up, dude
"If you want beef, then bring the ruckus." - Marilyn Monroe

Thanks a lot guys!

And USCENDONE_BENE, I had ''For thee'' because it sounds a little poetic (Instead ''For you'' which is quite overused )

I'll crit yours now.
