I'm going down to Bonnaroo in a few days, and the foolish organizers schedule Bill Frisell and Buddy Guy at the same time. Now i figure that the type of people who want to see a blues guitarist might be the same type thatd be interested in a jazz guitarist, but who am i to say?

So who do you recommend i see. I'm a much bigger jazz guy than a blues guy, but i don't know frisell's stuff...
"I see my light come shining from the west down to the east
Any day now, any day now I shall be released"

Know any good teachers in NY, especially skilled in teaching ear training? Tell me

very hard decision...i would personally see Frisell because I'm slightly more of a jazzer, but still it's a very difficult decision

I'd say Guy.

He won't be around for a long time now and he's a true showman. I think you'll get a lot of kicks even if your more jazz oriented. You'll also never regret seeing him.
