is there a major difference in sound quality? I know the 50 has a celestion speaker.

where i am, the 30 is $299 and the 50 is $479. Im wondering if i should get the 30?

also, i dont play live or anything, just basically home and practice.
#3
They are pretty much the same except for the speaker, if you have the extra cash go for the 50, it'll give you a somewhat better sound.

a canadians dollar is .91 usd...

in canada that amp for 480, would sell for 550 with tax

the 50 is better... it has a better speaker, it has more wattage...

yeah, only the 50 has a celestion as far as I know. and it definitely does, when i got mine it came with a little tag that said "fitted with celestion speaker", and it also says so on the website. It's not the best celestion, it's a "70/80" or something, but it's far and away better than the regular vox speaker.

How do you like your AD50VT? What does the volume have to be on to be heard over drums? J/w. (Asked in another thread but you didnt reply )
#24
I'd go with the 50 if you want to be heard over drums and maintain a useable sound. The VTs are good amps, but the tone starts deteriorating drastically once you get it to about 6 or so (which is pretty loud, even on the 30). While both can be heard over drums, the 50 will have more headroom and give you a clearer sound, whereas the 30 will be forcing a bit to get the same volume.

the 50 is definitely enough to get over drums.... with the wattage at half. I really like it, it's been good to me. And I definitely think you can get it over 6 without it deteriorating.
