has anyone here heard it? what do u think? personally, i think it was a complete failure. they tried to be more "metal", but ended up losing all that made them who they were....possibly the only decent song on the whole album is In Effigy.

well, it was just b-sides and alternate takes from TWW, so you can't treat it as their new sound or direction really. i haven't heard it, but TWW is pretty good i think

^^^ I agree.
Shadows Fall is a great band and I love them. But being that it's not their true "new material" you can't take it as the new sound they are going to try and play.

yea, TWW was a really good album for sure....if what you're saying is true, then there's really not much to be disappointed about, but otherwise, it's sad to see them do what Chimaira did in their last album...except in the case of chimaira, it was really their new material which was not even close to The Impossibility of Reason.
