Why not just do a strong bend?

Edit: Or another trick I discovered, but can't be good for the guitar. Play the note, then quickly move your right hand to the headstock (or left if you're a lefty) and pull it backward, or toward you. This works as a tremelo, but like I said before, it can't be too healthy lol.

I grab the neck of my guitar and bend it back really hard or push the body forward

I bend the string up and down up and down. That makes kind of a tremolo effect. Or you could do the super painful thing, bend behind the nut.

I'm a straight man, but I'd put that surfcaster right in my mouth.

Women make it hard.
Also, it's short but seems long when it gets hard.

Behind the nut bends are your friend.
There once was a man who really loved salt
So he tied his nose to the sea
And then God came down from his silver throne
And said, 'Honey, that water ain't free

if you are trying to sound like hendrix then no, there is no way that you will get the sounds that he used the trem for without one.
I've been imitated so well I've heard people copy my mistakes.
