I was looking at pedals today at Guitar Center and I really liked the tone i got out of the boss mt-2. It was what i was looking for but i also want to test out the maxon OD-9 but idk where i'd do that...I'd like your advice what would sound better for metal out of a Fender Hot Rod Deville...I also have an ibanez sz520qm stock...and i'd like to play anything from guns N' roses to atreyu sounding tones...they have to sound good at high volumes too because i'm getting a band started soon. Just wanna hear all your opinions! thanks.

Id say get a rocktron silver dragon, much more versatile.

so your saying the boss is like a solid state pedal versus the OD-9 right?
