i'll have the recorded song posted up soon. thanks
*i edited it and added a some sort of ending thing. at work actually. i was wrapping up vegetables and i took the paper cover from a box of cabbage and scribbled it down. well here it is.*

stagnant year for the news team this year.
what's there to report?
she's just old news. and i'm just bad news
with alcohol and drug use, petty theft, depression amongst men.
and the front page never looked so bare.

let's make our way up the library steps and dig
through the archives from when we first met.
i'm nostalgic for that bittersweet kind of shy.
i'm nostalgic for that look in your eyes.

dried ink could never be erased. is it still there?
could an apology replace? are you still there?

let's make our way up the library steps and dig
through the archives from when we first met.
i'm nostalgic for that bittersweet kind of shy.
i'm nostalgic for that look in your eyes.

i want to see you at six after my favorite show.
we can talk about the weather or who's baby's just been born.
i'll see you at six after my favorite show.
we can talk about the weather or the mccartney divorce.
i'll see you at six after my favorite show.
we can talk about the weather or the meaningless war.

i'm just old news. i'm no headline.

Kinda short but I really enjoyed it, I feel like it has a deeper meaning than what the words lay out and it keeps me wondering what about. Good job.
The Devil may.

i like it bit a good comment on how bloody depressing or silly and frivolous the news can be

Very good lyrics, i like the extended metaphor "she's just old news. and i'm just bad news" very well done.

nice title reminds me of the movie anchorman. and yes if they gave the same reports as mr burgundy, more people would watch the news and it'd b kinda like the daly show lol
