Ok if u was recording a acoustic guitar

would u use a mic.(a good one of course)

or plug into the box(or comp or w/e)

just wondering is anyone has expierence with it

use a mic, it picks up the acoustic sound better. electric/acoustic guitars are made mainly for live situations, its less a hassle and more convienient, but if you have an optoin to sit down with a mic, by all means go with a good mic.

I have a crappy mic. So when i record my acoustic guitar it doesn't sound that great. Should i just plug in my acoustic, turn it up and then record it or should i just plug in my guitar?

Sorry about that. I meant to say was that should i just plug my acoustic guitar into the amp and put the recording mic near it or should i just plug my guitar into my computer. I have kind of a crappy mic.
