Sorry, I was't sure what the correct topic to put this under was so don't kill me. I posted this about three days ago on YouTube and a lot of people keep bashing it and saying ignorant stuff like "OMG y dunt u lern how to keep time/!1" and I was just wondering, is it really that bad?

On the guitar? Or just the sound? I think the sound crappiness is just caused by the poor camera mic.
#4
I love how the guitar player JUMPS on his pedal.. Way to show that pedal whos the bitch!! The solo was a bit messed up. The rest of the song wasn't too bad imo. Not for a talent show starting band anyway.
#5
That was actually pretty good, minus your other guitarist stopping in the solo. Keep up the work guys.

What can I say... This was ok. The vocals weren't too bad, although very quiet in the mix. The tone of the singer's guitar with all the wah and **** was aufull... the solo was messed up, and everyone but you is so still and un-lifelike (expessially the bass player)... i know i didnt have much good to say, but seriously work on those things... I'm sure you could get it good...

the singing wasnt exactly great but the guitar was pretty good... even tho its only supposed to be played by one guitar... and the pause in the solo didnt help... you dshould have took over the solo when he paused

not that bad, more live exp. then me..

i think that kid shouldnt of stopped during the solo to turn up the amp.. i think he just should of kept going, it was somewhat clear (as in the volume balanced between the instruments)

Nice trucker hat on the mc. Good job though. Sounded pretty nice, the only part that got me was the guitar's tone, just not clean enough.

EDIT: Jeeze, the singer's like 4'10"!

I dont think it was that bad.Man i remember my 1st talent show geese it was HORRIBLE.Like we had every thing in tune amp was perfect and someone must've messed with it cuz it sucked and you couldnt hear the singer.....oh well kinnda gettin off subject. Yeah i think it was good besides when the solo had to stop and mess with the amp a bit.So ill give it a 8.5.

Not bad, but the bass needs to be a little bit louder and the singing guitarist needs to fix his tone big time. Nails on chalkboard. Other two people sounded fairly solid.
#14
Just so people know, I'm the guitarist that doesn't sing (8th grade) and my brother (5th grade) is on drums.
#15
I agree with everyone else pretty much, nothing that I can say hasn't already been said... but I just have to know what that girl says in the very beginning. I swear its F*ck You.
#16
if your the one keeping the beat you then you did pretty well... i liked your singing better then the other kid's... but like i said you should have took over the solo

i thought that was rpetty good, except the fella on the left looks like his guitar is too big :P vocals were decent though, only problem was the tone, small amps... good to see you actually moved around!
#19
I thought it was great. I like how it was in your own tone and your singer didnt try to mimik rhpc's sound. You did it in your own style. At least you guys are original which is awesome. Thats cool that your drummer is only in 5th grade to. good job
#20
i didnt think it was bad, you guys seem pretty young, and i gotta throw some credit to the singer, wah pedal playing a lead riff and singing, and he cant be but 13.. pretty impressive, hes learn to double pick though, hes getting in a real bad habit
#21
Double pick? Whats that? But I thought that kids singing was pretty damn good for his age.

it's weird, it doesn't doesn't sound like the singer is actually singing...more like he's humming the words while speaking them. the guitar solo makes me sad a little bit cause i'm pretty sure he could do it, he shouldn't have messed with his amp though. i hate hearing stuff through the camcorder because i know it didn't sound too bad live. 8/10. you guys are young.

EDIT: did not like your buddy's rendition of the rain song. i'd rather not hear it at all than hear it played out of order and not in its entirety. but he sounds like he has the talent to do it..

Singer got the lyrics wrong in the second verse; or third, depending how you look at it. .

And, yeah, that pause at the solo sucked.

I love how you jump in the air and land on your pedal. Freaking hilarious.

It's not really that bad. Guitar tone is pretty ugly, but for being a middle school band, it's pretty good.

Better than all of the "Smells like Teen Spirit" covers that I've heard at middle school talent shows .

Not bad for kids, definetly better then most 13 or 12 year whatever you are olds. Keep it up. A few msitakes, but again, not bad at all. Your tone is horrible though.
#26
i think it would sound alot better if the lead guitar was turned down a bit, bass turned up, and tempo slowed down.

Your tone is absolutly terrible as well.

lmfao, why did he stop in the middle of the solo? thats the climax of the entire song and you ****ed it up.. haha yeah that ruined.
#27
^ I think he was increasing gain/volume,

Heh, yeah, we all yelled at him for that. By the way, the bassist is 8th grade and the singer is 12, sixth grade.
#30
i thought the best part was the vocals, both guitars sounded pretty bad, but thats the tone mainly. ahh and the solo was ruined
#31
...meh...dont care for it, but your young, so I'l let you away with it...but if ye were a year older I'd be down on you like a pack a ninja monkeys!!!

Apart from ****ing up the solo it was average. 7/10

Double picking as in being able to pick up and down on the string alternately for fast picking. All of his picks are on a down stroke, and its really bad habit, ecspecially if he plans on learning solos and stuff with tremolo picking and such
#34
It was pretty good considering your ages.

I just wish I hadn't waited so late to start playing guitar.

It feels like you're rushing the tempo a bit. It's not necessarily that you're going faster, but it sounds like you're itching to speed up.

I also hate your MCs...
#35
Meh...

1. You guys were boring.

2. That pause in the solo was absolutely awful.

3. I don't like the singing at all, from either the guitarist or the bassist. Though I must say I'm impressed by the singer singing and playing the riff.

4. You're the best one there I'd say...

It's not the worst cover I've heard, but it wasn't good by any means...

3/10

P.S. I won't give you credit for your age, sorry.

i agree with the tone being bad, but if you got that fixed, it has potential. but i thought it was pretty good conseidering how young they are.
