Hi guys,

I've had my ibanez rg220b for bout 3 years + now, just wondering if you guys think I should maybe get myself a new toy for ~$200? I got this for $300 as new back then.

Anyways, what do you think is a good upgrade to play songs like Canon D Rock and Metallica or sometimes play some alternative etc.. (The thing is I want a new guitar without floyd rose so I can restring easier and something that sounds good for JerryC Style songs (http://jerryc.co.uk) songs.

Here's what I have on mind.
1) Kind of want to tryout a les paul (epiphone for cheapness)

2) Destroyer, hmm what can I say good price, i read some good reviews, looks good as well

4) Ibanez X-Series

5) Ibanez RG321, this one is one of my top choices, I want to try mahogany and it really looks classy

Also if you have any other suggestions please let me know, my budget is bout $200-300 , i can get to a Gutiar Center or SamAsh near my house.

Thanks for reading guys, looking forward to hearing your responses

These are all within my budget and I want to know which one is the best upgrade for me from my ibanez rg220 right now, I just want to have a new toy, and probably gna buy it in month or so after summer kicks off.

Doesn't seem like any of those are massive leaps forward, but if you HAVE to buy one now.. get the 321... or get an amp. or save up.

Yea the thing is I'm not that good, I can play some good stuff but I just want something new to practice with and not a pain to change strings on :\

321 then. its got hardtail, yet retains that ibanez feel.. now if you don't want that ibanez neck, go Epiphone Les Paul PLAIN TOP.. its all mahogany and its supposedly pretty good

RG321, the DT200 Destroyer looks pretty good for the money also.

Do you think i'll notice the diff if i pick it up? As in tone / sound quality> Cause I think my RG right now is one of the cheapst ibanez rgs made lol and its not made anymore since that was 3-4 yrs ago.
