finally got my own amp and it confuses the hell out of me. how do you get light distortions and feedback on a line6 spider2 amp?
I nearly kicked the goddamn thing in twice and i've only had it for a week

That would be because it's a spider II. They're pretty crappy amps. Since you've only had it a week, and are obviously not happy with it, I suggest that you take it back and go for a Vov Valvetronix.

Yeah..not quite as much. Decent for a practice amp but I wouldn't use it for anything else. I'm currently looking into modding it to use with an Epi Valve Junior head.

It's an ok amp, but solid states just don't sound too great to me anymore.

yep, since its a spider II the only way to get some half decent distortion is by way of a distortion pedal but it still may sound like **** due to line 6 construction
