i just have a quick question. the guitar eddie van halen uses on there first album, did he have a volume knob or tone knob on it. because iv'e read things like "Even the volume pot has been replaced with a ?Tone? knob" on the charvel site. but ive also read on some bio i found said he only needed the volume knob. so which is it?

he has a volume knob labelled as tone on the frankenstrats and ernie ball music man guitars i think

Yeah. It's a volume pot, but the knob on it says "tone".

Why, you ask?

"Volume IS Tone" -EVH.

^ That's right. It's an inside joke. Eddie always said you get a nice tone if you crank the volume.
what happened to the proposed Kirk Hammett flamenco album?

His acoustic didn't sound good with wah pedal, I suppose.

He uses it in Cathedral I think.
