I currently use a 'Drive 30-watt'
im looking to upgrade
Something around the 100-watt
something decent for gigs as my band is getting more serious

any suggestions for a good amp??
my price range is limited
at tops $1000 (aus)
id like to get a stack by they can be pricey
althought i did see a good looking Ashton one for $870

any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

you don't need a stack at all, a 100 watt amp will be enough to compete with a drummer

bradbradbrad has a ashton all tube. talk to him.

what music do you play?

EDIT: without fail that'd be a MG. stay the **** away from that amp. or a AVT> same rules apply.

I reccomend the XT120R 120 watt Crate Amp. It is sooo loud and you'll have no trouble competing with the drummer at gigs. Perfect for a Van Halen or just a plain metal tone.
