if you want EMG's then yes. but going from passive to active it going to take some work. i think you have to rewire the pots for the new pickups. also, what kind of amp do you have? EMG's dont sound to great through solid state amps but if you have a tube amp, they have killer tone.

I have a local guitar shop person that will install the pickups for me. And I have a Marshall Full Stack (the $850 one)

well it depends. Randy Rhoads used stock pickups on his les paul and seymore duncan on his jackson guitars and his polkadotted vee, so if you want his sound, stay with them

but if you want a zakk wylde sound then get his emgs.

if you want a metallica tone get metallica emgs.

you catch my drift?

by the way, i want one of those RR3

If you don't like the stock pickups, then change them.
There once was a man who really loved salt
So he tied his nose to the sea
And then God came down from his silver throne
And said, 'Honey, that water ain't free

thats good. its always a good idea to have a tech do it, they know what theyre doing. and which exact model marshall do you have? and if its a full stack for $850, im guess its a MG series.
