so i got a squire fat strat and when i tighten the strings the bridge is pulled up and off where it should be so i opened the back of my guitar and tightened the springs but it didn't work.. can anyone tell me how to keep the bridge in it's place??
im still snoring loudly

If tightening the springs doesn't work, you might need another spring to keep it down.
But just so you know, there's nothing wrong with having a floating trem. Mine's set up that way.

i needed to put 2 more springs in my old crappy ibanez to make it work (total of 3)
