respraying a tele from blue to red for a friend....

no work for months then started again today

need it done by friday morning

all colour was done

(using dupli color spray)

checked that it was all perfect then did a coat of laquer

waited three hours did another (light coats from aerosol)

after three i did another check and somehow, a bit of paint had dissappeared next to the jack and there is a white circle....

how the hell can i fix this and finish laquering by friday morning....

theres enough red left to spray onto a paintbrush and dab the white spot away then apply some laquer by brush....

need advice tonight....

well touch up is what you'll have to do.. its not ideal... you could spray that area again mind you.. and then sand flat after.. then clear laquer a few times..
but remember you really do need to wait at least a week after clear lacquering for it to harden.. then wet sand with progressive grades then use some rubbing compound...

i'm afraid you really cannot rush any paint job, it will only lead to regrets...

It's gonna be a looooooong night for you. I believe you'd have to sand down again and re-spray, re-spray, re-spray, because I think the white circle to coming directly from the wood and if you keep spraying then it'll soon disappear but you'll need to take the lacquer off. And have a great night.

Spray the paint into a lid and drop fill the hole, sand it flush then keep on clearing.
