I was wondering if anyone could help explain to me what a power amp does specifically becuase I really don't understand that much about guitar equipment. I apologize if this is a dumb question.
What a PA does is it takes the sounds from your pre-amp and makes them a hella lot louder and puts it 2 ur speaker. Your preamp runs out a sig. and like what, 1 milivolt? and your power amp takes that and makes it into the sounds you hear. ( this is a rough explanation )
It gets more detailed in the FAQ.

Basically, the pre-amp processes the signal and effects, then sends the signal to the power amp.

The power amp boosts the signal and sends it to the speakers.
