I just realized I enjoy Neil Young's music a lot. I like his more heavy sounds like "Cocaine Eyes", "Keep on Rockin in the Free World", "Cinnamon Girl", etc. Based on that, what album would you guys recommend?
Yeah, man.
#2
Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere. If you like his heavy sounds that album, or Ragged Glory would be your best bet.

I would definitely recommend Ragged Glory. The best Neil Young album in my opinion.

- Rust Never Sleeps(a lot like Live Rust with some different songs)
-Road Rock: Live at Red Rocks (Some acoustic stuff)
-Live Rust (Some acoustic stuff)
Its how you look and how you feel

I have Re-ac-tor and personally I don't like it... other than "Shots", the other songs don't do it for me.

Living with war is alright. You can kind of tell it was a rushed project though. Maybe Neil should have taken the dead rat sign as it's not ready yet, and not ship it out=0

P.S.- I think Prarie Wind was much much better, but I guess Neil just wanted to people to know his feelings on the war now so he released it.

P.S. Squared- Re-Ac-Tor.... I kinda have mixed feelings, I think some things are alright but overall I think it was a failed project.

I was listening to Living With War for the first time last night and I found it funny. It had that old Crazy Horse sound to it, and he sure let everyone know his feelings with the lyrics

A few days ago I was watching Heart of Gold (which contains live performances of Prarie Wind) and I was blown away. The music on the album is great, the lyrics are very personal...overall it's a great album.

Oh yeh me too, I saw Heart of Gold when it came out in a local theater. It was so amazing, you leave feeling like you know him. (Personally I do feel like I know him, I've heard him everyday of my life for like 3 hours a day for the last 2 years and read "Shakey" multiple times, and other assorted things on him a lot)

I'm probably going to see them in Indy later this fall. I don't see any way that it won't kick ass

yeh, wonderin is a good song. I have a version of it where he is introducing it to his friends for the first time before it was released.

I'm going to see CSNY Aug 25 at Hershey PA!

after the gold rush is the best i've heard. the first two songs, tell me why and the title track are my two favorite NY songs, and it also has the great southern man and only love can break your heart on it.
"I see my light come shining from the west down to the east
Any day now, any day now I shall be released"

Know any good teachers in NY, especially skilled in teaching ear training? Tell me
#33
Oh yes, Tell mw why is an amazing song. The riff in it is so fun to play. My friends always get angry at me because as soon as I pick up an acoustic that's the first thing I play.
