I try to take photos wherever i go, but my "proper" camera's just a little too bulky to carry everywhere I'd like to, and my other digi isn't that good for really arty shots or macros (just snapshots really). I post them on http://funky-monk.deviantart.com normally, and all my snapshots on my msn space (you'll have to PM me if you want that). I really like that fire one, Inahrima, very moody indeed!

Catch lights are lights that add that glint in your subject's eye. Check out Rankles' photograph of the bird for an example.

And as for decreasing blurriness when the flash is off: it's just a matter of keeping your camera as steady as possible while taking the picture, and decreasing the exposure time setting.

Oh damn then my camera cant adjust that

well atleast im asking for a more professional one on my bday

Does your camera have different shutter speed settings? Increasing the shutter speed is the equivalent of decreasing exposure time.

we don't know what grade we got yet. i'm hoping it will be good though, i've put more effort into photography this year than i have with art and product design.

i liked those photos, i've got some others like that that are better than some of those, but they aren't on my computer. i have my photos from unit 2 though.

£500 for the camera, £75 for a 2gb card, and then a polarizer lens on top of that, i'm not sure how much they cost, probably between £60 and £100 so i'll take a look in Jessops tomorrow

you could probably get a 2gb memory card for around £60 if you look in the right places. also jessops is a ripp off so you could also get a polarizer lens for less.

my friend was talking to me about some really good deal he saw with 3 different lens types that were really cheap... shame i wasn't listening.

you know any good sites for memory cards?
and yeah jessops is a rip-off, the 350D is like £510 on their site, on the dixons site its £475. but jessops will match any other price so a bit o' bargaining there shall do the trick.

i don't really wanna go to dixons to buy it cos they know **** all about anything and jsut try to sell you as much stuff as possible. jessops is specialist in cameras, so even though it may try to rip me off, i'm thinking they can give me some good advice about the lens. then i jsut won't buy it there

edit: thsoe photos from the "motion" topic in your course? they're ace

haha good idea! jessops are good though because the do actually know something about cameras. anyway i don't know any good sites for cameras and stuff like that. i just buy that sorta stuff from ebay. i got a 512 mb memory card for £17 or £18 i think. well it was certainly no more than £20, which is really cheap!

anyway do you take photography in sixth form, college or uni?

unlucky. i've just finished doing my first year of sixth form and i'll being doing photography for A2. i love photography, it's my favourite subject. i really like art aswell, but the lessons are kinda boring. in photography when i get bored i just say i need to take some photos and if my teacher lets me go out to take them i go to the shops. i do spend alot of my spare time going out places taking photos aswell though.
