Isn't that amp basically the precursor to the "F" series..
Look at those I believe they share lots of similarities with the Calibers

Are the Calibers supposed to be a all-around amp?

I believe (now, I am not 100% sure...) but they are the entry level amps...
So basically they should be decent for almost anything, but they don't neccesarily excel at anything..

If you want true mesa versatility, you should check out Mark IV's but those are waaay more expensive

They are cool amps. I've always wanted and had fascionations with those smaller and less known Mesas.
