Can you give me reason
When I don?t believe in second guessing
Can you give me hope
When I don?t believe in last chances
So fix your eyes on what you?re living for
And I?ll hold tight to these memories
For once what matters
Doesn?t always come first
But final placing is out of order
And trust is out the window
So stop crying and close the pane
Before I mention every love song
How?s this for a sweet reminder
It rained for months behind this broken smile
Thanks to the desert
I?m caught in this drought for life
Just when you think my smile doesn?t come out short
You make permanent my confinement
Just so you know,
I?d trade all the inspiration in the world
To stop turning my back,
On what you had no right to take away
I?d take back everything,
If I could control how you always get in the way
You?re some Hero,
Thanks for saving the day

hey i was reading this since you didn't have any crits yet....

i really like it....i mean it seems somewhat like a love song but not the typical ones i see here EVERYDAY lol....so that is a good thing because it is very refreshing that it is not pushing overly dramatic lines in my face every other line.....

Can you give me reason
When I don?t believe in second guessing
Can you give me hope
When I don?t believe in last chances

I like these lines simply because of how they compare and contrast so well

I like these lines a lot because it really makes this song bitter and sort of angry towards the "hero" especially when you thank the desert

If I could control how you always get in the way

These are the lines that made me right this crit....It's such a bitter ending it's really a slap in the face....I seriously don't think you could've ended this song any better by using a line people are familiar with (heroes saving the day) and putting a small upsetting twist to it

overall I'm a bit confused at some of the lines and how they are put together....but that's what i love about a lot of my favorite songs....the lyrics aren't very clear and you can draw your own conclusion in the songs.....very well done

8/10

EDIT: by the way if you wouldn't mind a have a song a few down from this one called Place I've Never Been...if you would crit that would be righteous

I would eliminate these lines personally
