Anyone hear about this CD? The idea of the CD is to take classic david lee roth era songs and give a bluegrass feel to them. The outcome is surprisingly refreshing, I really like the album. David Lee Roth sings on two of the tracks too.

their official website has audio samples and more information

That does sound pretty wicked.

I'm sure deadhead has listened to them.

When the man's right, he's right.

Interesting is about the only word I can use to sum it up.

Did anyone see them perform on the Tonight Show. Kinda funny actually.

Stop talking about trading in a thread about VH (unless you want any Black Crowes )

This album owns clearly. DLR still rocks, no doubts, and he can still hit the notes.

This is pretty old news, a bunch of bands have had bluegrass tributes to them...

Paint It Blue-Tribute To The Rolling Stones
Whole Lotta Bluegrass-Tribute To Led Zeppelin(I think there's two)
I think there's one for The Beatles
There's one for KISS that I've heard, it's pretty awesome

There's also a rocabilly tribute to AC/DC

The musicianship is top notch, they must have put in alot of practice. The fiddle/violin player is great, David Lee Roth isn't at his peak vocally, but it still all sounds pretty good. The slide player is really good as well.

Yeah, it goes by that name too I think.

I listened to the whole album and I have to admit, it's pretty good. It's certainly an interesting take on the songs.

give him credit, he can still sing. i wouldn't say it really works though, just weird for the sake of weird.

The slide player was good, but definetly had a different style of playing.
