i just got myself a boogie 50 cal. i have my same guitar from 16 years ago that i used to use with a Gallien Kruegger 250 ML. My GK got stolen. I stopped playing.

anyway,

the tone knob on my guitar never did what it's doing now with this amp (that's a good thing).

and my Vox Wah pedal never did what it's doing (in conjunction with my Boss DD) now with this amp (that's a bad thing)

will a tube amp coax defferent qualities from external plug-ins (ie: effects, guitars etc.) than a SS amp?

Definetly. Solid States will mask small variations, and blur big ones as well. Tube amps bring out these qualities (or issues) in your gear and playing.
