OK i have a 50 watt Marshall JCM800 1x12 combo and epi les paul and a tubescreamer TS9. I would like to use the tube screamer to boost my volume and not add to much more gain to my solos. But when I turn the TS on the volume drops. Even if i have the volume on the pedal all of the way up. Is it to much input, to much gain. I don't know. Any suggestions on what to try would be great. Different EQ settings on both the pedal and the amp.

Thanks

^Probably not, but that's not relevant.

And if the TS's volume is at full, turn up the gain a tiny bit, won't make much of a difference to the sound, but the volume will increase, try it.

hmmm, thats not right, the volume shouldn't decrease. The pedal might be broken. try troubleshooting different amps and pedals.
